Purpose of The Nerd Lounge
Educational technology is not something that will fix all educational problems however, many research studies have proven technology to be a wonderful tool which when used appropriately can increase student achievement. The internet allows educators to discover new technologies more rapidly than any other medium has in the past. Nevertheless, a problem still exists because the internet has become so big it is sometimes overwhelming for an individual educator to learn about all the great technologies available. Though my background is middle school mathematics, as an Instructional Technology Specialist I interact with educators in diverse classrooms. The purpose of The Nerd Lounge Blog is to spotlight a wide variety of amazing educational technologies. In other words, The Nerd Lounge is a place to draw attention to educational technologies including software, hardware, websites, podcast, and other blogs that feature best practices in education.

Jennifer, I like your division of technology integration into three parts. From my experience that's exactly the process that happens. My problem nowdays - teachers tranfered to classroom without much technology and how to improvise a technology classroom for them. Thank you, RobertW
