Tony Vincent Presentations From GAETC

I attended three sessions presented by Tony Vincent at GAETC. Vincent is a guru when it comes to teaching with handheld devices such as iPods. A former 5th grade teacher Vincent brings plenty of classroom experience to his presentations. Below are some highlights and links from his sessions. Make sure to check out Vincents website.

spokentext.net
SpokenText is an online text to speech converter. Using it you can easily create audio recordings of any text content. You can use this site to record books, articles, that you want to have available to you in audio format.

You can use an iPod like a flash drive. You must go to the summary section of your iPod while in iTunes and check the enable disk use so you can use it as storage.

You can read text on iPod. There is no formatting. Save your files as a text only document with a .txt extension. Then transfer the file to your iPod. The document will automatically move to the notes folder. Look on the iPod in the notes section and you will see your document

iPreppress you can find ebooks already formatted for use with ipods.
